Casio WK-200The Casio WK-200 Piano Keyboard is another keyboard from the Casio line that showcases a lot of features.  Equipped with their signature sound, this is a good vehicle for practice for the avid learner or even recreation for those who savor quality time with friends or family.  Price is just as friendly and is pretty much affordable rather than settling for a traditional keyboard or piano that could cost thousands of dollars.

Cheap keyboard with outstange features

The Casio WK-200 may be used for the home or the professional setting.  It can be used as a learning ground for the amateurs and professionals can also have as much satisfaction.  It has an LCD screen that displays the player’s fingering mechanism and gives out instructions on what keys or notes should be pressed and which fingers should be used.  This renders this keyboard very friendly to its users as it teaches them the basics on its own.  With features like the digital effects that could elicit a concert like background, anybody playing could feel like it is his own recital.

  • The Casio WK-200 Piano Keyboard is equipped with Step Up Lessons.  The built in songs are pre-divided into shorter parts.  When one part is mastered, the player goes on to play another until everything can be put together.  This feature is designed for individual hand playing as well as both for each phrase until a song is fully mastered.
  • It has 76, standard size keys with touch response and two levels of sensitivity for a more authentic piano sound, as well as a 48 note polyphony.
  • There are 570 built in tones that can be layered or divided by splitting the keyboard midway for a concerto like sound.
  • The built in sampling feature allows for a sound from another device to be played.

This Casio Piano Keyboard  is suitable for anybody who loves the keyboard or the piano.  This may take the place of a traditional acoustic piano; however, the sound is still not as genuine as the stringed sound of regular pianos.  This could be good for students as well and enthusiasts that are into bands or school musical groups.  It can also be for pure recreation and may occupy some space in the family room when it offers its seat for the family to share.

Pros:

  • The Casio WK-200 is equipped with an Arpeggiator, which enables automatic playing of an arpeggio pattern.  It is integrated with 90 different arpeggio pattern selections from which one could select in order to match the music playing at the moment.
  • This keyboard showcases a Music Challenge Keyboard Game.  This is a game that measures reaction speed as keys are pressed in response to onscreen and finger guide indicators.
  • The auto accompaniment feature is an automatic melody buffer.  Once a chord is played with one hand, the proper accompaniment plays automatically which seems like a backup group.  About 10 pieces of your very own accompaniment pattern may be edited and saved as well.
  • The Casio WK-200’s auto harmonize feature automatically adds harmony to tunes played with the right hand.  There are 12 different types of sound that could fit a particular kind of sound at play.

Cons

  • Again, the common problem with Casios is their adapter.  Customers have reported about receiving one inclusive in the package that is not compatible with the device, thereby accumulating another purchase because the right adapter has to be bought separately.
  • Reports have it that keys often used sometimes end up clicking, although this is not as frequent.

To sum it up, the Casio WK-200 is loaded with features that facilitate easy teaching.  The electronic display and the number of songs in its bank are enough for practice play and mastering the skills.  Yamaha Piano keyboard still seem to have keyboards that are of excellent quality because of their extraordinary features like the education suite and its signature grand piano sound.  Casios may not have it but they can compete with the rest of the features that they have.
